First we looked at the car, we decided it was pretty cool looking, and that it didn't need any aesthetic enhancements. We went with a different route when trying to improve the car. We noticed that the only thing that the car did was roll when pushed, and thought that it would be cool to give it some other functions. Like moving by itself, floating, or going to space. We decided that we wanted to promote aeronautical engineering to the younger audience. So we are going to put rockets on our car and send it to space. Reverse engineering is the process of studying an object in order to figure out how it works, and how to make it. First you start with visual analysis, which is just studying the physical properties of an object. After that there is the functional analysis, in which you decide the purpose and function of the object. As well as identifying the inputs and outputs. Last there is structural analysis, which is when you take the object apart to find out how it works, and how its made.
Define a Problem
My group tried our best to split up the work evenly, and get as much done during class as possible. Because we both were very busy after school. So both of us were always working on something, whether it was together or seperatly. And we trusted that the other person would get their work done.

I showed this to two adults, who are my parents. They said that it was a very good idea, and that the car looks good. They said the rockets do not look too bulky which is good. They suggested that if we were to do it again, it may help it being appealing if we put wings on it, to make it look like a plane. Which was not our original intention but we decided it was a good idea, sadly it was too late to change anything.
Present Solution
Overall the experience with this project was a lot better than it could've been, there were a few roadblocks along the way but we ended up moving past them fairly quickly each time. Josh was a good teammate, he worked very well with me, and did his share of the work. The final design went together nicely and without any issues, but we did run into one problem with the exploded view. So I would say that we are very skilled at inventor. The original design, how it will affect the function, and if it will fit, all must be taken into account when changing or enhancing a design. It is important to document your brainstorming so that if you decide that you can't do something. then you'll have a backup plan. Sketching your ideas allows you to see what your ideas will look like.
